MAJOR CHANGES FOR 2025!! PLEASE READ!!!

Parents,

Welcome back for 2025. We have some big and exciting changes coming this year and we can’t wait to get started! These changes have been focused on budget, convenience, and investing in the kids.

WINTER CLINIC- We will be kicking off our year with our first annual winter clinic!! It will be held on February 10th from 6-7pm, at the Lindenhurst Bubble 831 N Queens Ave, Lindenhurst, NY 11757. ALL OUR 1ST-8TH PLAYERS WELCOME & BRING A FRIEND THAT'S THINKING OF JOINING US!!  We will have a quick 15 minute player drop off for parents and players to meet the coaches and ask/ address any questions and concerns. We will then run a fun skills focused clinic for the kids. Parents will be welcome to wait in the lobby or return at 7pm for pick up. We will host an additional clinic on February 24th (same location) from 5:30-6:30pm. By then everyone will be set up with their teams on the sports engine app, where all information will be going forward. These winter clinics will be in addition to any indoor practices you run with your individual teams.

UNIFORM INFORMATION- Major change here! Parents will now order player uniforms directly from the vendor website (link will be sent towards the end of January, via email and app). The cost of uniforms will be $75 each + ship. We have offset some of this cost by lowering the registration fee. Also, these uniforms will not change for a few years. If your child fits in there unform for the next 2-3 years, you will not have to re-order a uniform. KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN SIZING YOUR CHILDREN!

INSURANCE- The PAL has kindly changed their insurance coverage minimums, forcing us to seek new insurance. This has been a blessing and a curse. Going forward we will be using USA Lacrosse insurance. This means each of your kids will be given a USA Lacrosse number. This ID number will stick with them forever.

AGE VERIFICATION- In the past we have asked for player birth certificates to submit for age verification, this will no longer be done. As stated under insurance info, each player will be getting a USA Lacrosse ID number. Parents, once you receive this from us, you will need to create an account with USA Lacrosse and submit the necessary information to verify age through them. You only need to do this the one time, and the age verification is good for life.

*This information and insurance coverage carry over to any travel or tournament team you child might play on that is sanctioned by USA Lacrosse.

Finally, our goal this year is this bring this league together and grow our program. We want to make this a memorable season for all. We are currently trying to secure the field so the kids can play some games under the lights, as well as looking into multiple fundraising events. We will finish strong with our annual Lax Day event, which this year will include our Lindenhurst Alumni Game, and then lastly our summer beach party!

We look forward to seeing everyone February 10th!

Thank you!

Lindy Youth Lax strives to promote the game of lacrosse providing a safe and fun opportunity for all players, and emphasizing the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork.

The development of our players is important in teaching concepts of fair play, sportsmanship, commitment, discipline, responsibility, respect, integrity and time management.  By promoting these principles through a high level of lacrosse competition, Lindy Youth Lax inspires our players to become the best that they can be, both on the field and off the field.
